From 22 to 26 June 2026, Seville hosted the 32nd International Input-Output Association (IIOA) Conference, a key meeting point for the global input-output research community, covering methodological developments in structural and multi-regional economic analysis. Many project partners took part in this year's edition, contributing both as presenters and as session organisers.
POLIMI, together with Purdue University and eNextGen, put together a dedicated special session titled "Methodological advances in extending input-output databases: sectoral disaggregation, matrix augmentation, and hybrid approaches." The session was organised by Lorenzo Rinaldi (POLIMI), with Maksym G. Chepeliev (Purdue) chairing in his capacity as WP2 leader, alongside Matteo Vincenzo Rocco (POLIMI) and Nicolò Golinucci (eNextGen). It hosted three presentations: Camilla Citterio (POLIMI) presented ENTICE's contribution, co-authored with Lorenzo Rinaldi, Nicolò Golinucci, Maksym G. Chepeliev, and Matteo Vincenzo Rocco, building on WP2's work to rearrange and extend the GTAP database with finer sectoral detail for green and emissions-intensive industries — the core focus of Deliverable D2.4, the Enhanced GTAP database. The other two presentations in the session came from researchers outside the ENTICE consortium, adding complementary perspectives on database extension methods.
ENTICE was also present in other sessions in the programme. Lorenzo Rinaldi presented a paper on photovoltaic value chains and Rossella Bardazzi presented a paper on energy-system and multisectoral modelling, both POLIMI-led. Purdue researchers presented three papers linked to the GTAP database enhancements: on climate impacts, livestock, and critical minerals. CMCC's Paola Rocchi presented a paper co-authored with Alice Di Bella on climate policy, steel decarbonisation, and trade fragmentation, coupling an EU energy-system model with the FIDELIO macroeconomic model.

ENTICE's presence at IIOA 2026 reflects the project's continued engagement with the input-output research community and its role in advancing the methodological tools underpinning trade-climate-industry analysis.
